The spatial revolution of medical technology giants

In 2025, globally renowned medical equipment manufacturer Evident will establish its Asia Pacific headquarters in UBIX, Singapore, with a 2323 square meter office space that has attracted industry attention. This company, known for its life science microscopes, non-destructive testing equipment, and X-ray analyzers, has extended its precision manufacturing concept to office environment design and partnered with Conexus Studio to create a future office model that deeply integrates medical technology with work scenarios.

This headquarters building located in the technology core area of Singapore features a large glass curtain wall with white horizontal lines on the exterior. The unique curved cantilever structure on the ground floor extends like a microscope lens, symbolizing Evident's technical genes of "insight into the microscopic world". The mirrored water pool in front of the building reflects the modern architectural complex, forming a visual symbol of "technology and nature coexisting", echoing Evident's pursuit of the concept of "precision and humanistic balance" in medical equipment.

Design concept: Gene continuation from laboratory to office area

The design team of Conexus Studio conducted in-depth research on Evident's three core requirements: as a rising brand, it requires unique spatial recognition; medical technology companies have extreme requirements for precision and security; and global teams have flexible requirements for hybrid office. The final spatial design breaks the serious stereotype of traditional medical office and creates a new working environment that combines "laboratory level precision" and "community style vitality".



The reception area adopts a neutral color scheme of gray, white, and wood. The curved frosted glass windows ensure both natural lighting and privacy protection, and the symmetrical potted plants on both sides are arranged in an orderly manner like experimental samples. The long LED strip on the ceiling simulates the uniform illumination of a microscope light source, while the dark gray striped carpet on the ground matches the texture of the laboratory console. When visitors step into this space, they can intuitively feel the brand temperament of Evident, which is "rigorous yet innovative".

The design team has conducted over 20 rounds of requirement communication with stakeholders from various departments of Evidence, ranging from the ergonomic parameters of the microscope operating platform to the cross time zone collaboration mode of the Asia Pacific team. All details are based on a deep decoding of the enterprise DNA. This immersive research not only meets the physical functional requirements of the final space design, but also serves as a three-dimensional carrier for conveying the values of precision, collaboration, and care.

Space layout: Medical grade precision hybrid office ecosystem

The 25000 square foot space is divided into five functional modules: technology and microscope center, reception experience area, collaborative co creation area, dedicated work area, and leisure community space. Each area is organically connected by glass partitions and visual guidance lines, achieving efficient flow of information and personnel like the human blood circulation system.



The technology center is the "core laboratory" of the entire headquarters, equipped with anti glare lighting system and shockproof workbench. The customized microscope display cabinet adopts the same aluminum alloy frame as Evident products, and the internal constant temperature and humidity environment ensures stable equipment performance. The most eye-catching feature is the central 360 degree interactive demonstration platform, where visitors can observe the microscopic world under a microscope in real time through AR technology. This design integrates product experience into the office space, making the headquarters a brand showcase window at the same time.

The design inspiration for the collaboration area comes from the multidisciplinary consultation mode of the medical team. It is equipped with an adjustable oval conference table and an embedded video conferencing system. The hidden power interface on the desktop is like a connection port for medical equipment, supporting 8-hour continuous data transmission. The wall is made of sound-absorbing material to control background noise below 35 decibels - this value comes from the standard of Evident hearing detection equipment, ensuring the clarity of remote conference voice.



The dedicated workspace offers three mode options: open workstations equipped with adjustable height desks, simulating the flexible operating experience of a surgical table; The semi enclosed soundproof cabin adopts the same sound insulation standards as the X-ray protection room, creating an "undisturbed observation environment" for employees who need to think deeply; The mobile office is equipped with wireless charging pads and portable device stands, supporting employees to switch work scenarios at any time like carrying detection instruments.

The leisure area breaks the traditional boundaries of office work, with a green simulated lawn floor that echoes Evident's exploration in the field of life sciences. The bookshelf next to the table tennis table is filled with science books and LEGO models, a mix of "rigor and fun" that reflects the dialectical relationship between "rational thinking and inspiration" in medical research and development.
