Preface: When Agriculture Meets Frontier Design
In the Shuangfeng Economic Development Zone of Hefei, the new headquarters building of domestic seed industry giant Anhui Yuanliang High tech has quietly been completed. This is not just a 5000 square meter office space, but also a breakthrough attempt in office design for agriculture related industries. Led by John Li Studio, the core gene of agriculture, 'seeds', has been injected into the bloodline of modern office environment design.
How can agricultural enterprises showcase their hard core technology and soft power through physical space? This project provides a perfect answer.
01. Spatial Narrative: From "Seed Bank" to "Four Seasons Cycle"
The office design of agricultural enterprises is most afraid of being dull and boring. The design team cleverly introduced the concept of "seed bank" to transform the scientific research attributes of the enterprise into a visual spatial language.
• Hall: Birth of the First Seed
Entering the hall, it feels like traveling back to the ancient universe 360 million years ago. The elliptical glowing soft film simulates light, and the still water surface reflects the famous seed sculpture of "the changing sea and the changing fields". This is not only a reception area, but also a showcase of corporate strength. The curved LED screen plays real-time updates from various fields, allowing people sitting in the office to feel the pulse of the land.
Living room: collision of intangible cultural heritage and technology
The design team has great ingenuity in choosing office furniture. In the reception room, a seed wall displays the hybrid rice parent seeds invented by Academician Yuan Longping, which is the core asset display of the enterprise. Above hangs the intangible cultural heritage bamboo weaving device "Fengjing", paying tribute to the seed production base in Zhangye, Gansu. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern office environment design greatly enhances the texture and cultural depth of the space.
02. Functional reshaping: not just for office work, but also for "growth"
Agriculture emphasizes solar terms, while office work emphasizes efficiency. How to integrate the two is the focus of this agricultural office design.
Highlights of spatial area design, agricultural metaphor
The terraced staircase seats in the multifunctional hall symbolize the foundation of agricultural civilization and are suitable for press conferences and training
SEED CAFE's three-level comprehensive leisure area is full of vitality like seeds, promoting informal communication among employees
The petal wrapped design of the restaurant symbolizes "one flower, one world", reflecting the cosmic philosophy of rice flowers
Office furniture and soft furnishings configuration:
In order to meet the collaboration needs of high-tech enterprises, office furniture in public areas often adopts flexible and modular combination forms. The natural color scheme of soil, wheat waves, and green seedlings has been extracted in color, avoiding the cold metallic feeling of traditional technology companies and creating a warm and vibrant office environment.
03. Design Empowerment: Why do agricultural enterprises need good design?
A good office space is like a three-dimensional corporate brochure.
1. Brand Visualization: Through designs such as "Seed Wall" and "Fengjing" installations, abstract "breeding techniques" are transformed into visible and tangible art installations, greatly enhancing the trust between visiting customers and distributors.
2. Employee cohesion: Located in the SEED CHILL area on the third floor, it integrates coffee, fitness, and dining. Comfortable office furniture and pleasant lighting allow researchers to relax during high-intensity breeding work, reflecting the company's concern for talent.
3. Cultural infiltration: From "Great Cold" to "Liqiu", the 24 solar terms are used as a spatial navigation system. Employees are subtly influenced by the corporate culture in their daily work, strengthening their sense of mission and values of "strengthening agriculture and serving the country".
Conclusion
The Anhui Yuanliang High tech Headquarters project proves that the office environment design of modern agricultural enterprises has already exceeded the scope of simple decoration. It is an extension of corporate strategy, an endorsement of scientific research strength, and a bridge connecting land and the future.
