Core concept: Creating an office environment that is adaptable to diverse work scenarios through customized furniture and flexible space design

1、 Agile and flexible: office furniture drives spatial plasticity

Agile and flexible "are the core of the office design. The Hofman Dujardin team uses a large number of movable office furniture, combined with modular partition walls and curtain systems, to enable the space to quickly switch scenes - from a collaborative meeting mode of 6-8 people, to a Ted Talk presentation layout that can accommodate 200 people, and to an open workstation form, all achieved through the combination and reorganization of furniture. For example, lightweight folding conference tables and stackable seats can switch from "office mode" to "activity mode" within 15 minutes, demonstrating the decisive role of office furniture in spatial functionality.

2、 Regional Cultural Integration: The Coexistence of Stylistic Art and Office Environment

The design deeply integrates the artistic genes of the Dutch "De Stijl" style, using geometric lines, primary colors (red, yellow, blue), and non colors (black, white, gray) to construct a visual language for the office environment. Customized office furniture such as "red and blue chairs" replica chairs and modular geometric splicing desks directly echo the abstract composition concept of the stylistic representative Mondrian. This design not only enhances the artistic recognition of the space, but also helps employees quickly locate functional areas through color zoning (such as the red area for creative collaboration and the blue area for focused work), achieving the unity of aesthetics and practicality.

3、 Customized Furniture: Dual Expression of Function and Brand

To meet Google's multicultural needs, the team has customized a full range of office furniture:

Multi functional lectern: integrated wireless charging and projection interface, suitable for Ted Talk speeches and daily meetings
Adjustable collaborative desk: supports standing office and team brainstorming, with a desk made of writable material
Color coded storage cabinet: Distinguishing storage spaces in different departments with stylized primary colors, serving both storage and environmental guidance functions

These customized furniture not only carry practical functions, but also convey Google's innovative and open brand characteristics through design language.

4、 Ted Talk Space: A Model of Super Adaptability in Office Environments

As the core functional area, Ted Talk Space is equipped with two independent customized furniture systems: in daily mode, it is equipped with a movable workstation and a soundproof conference room; In activity mode, after folding up the workstation, unfold the hidden audience seats and stage equipment. The flexible furniture configuration enables the 1100 square meter space to meet the daily office needs of 50 people and the large-scale event needs of 300 people simultaneously, becoming a benchmark case for adaptive design of office environments.

Summary of Core Concepts

Google Amsterdam office redefines the possibilities of modern office environments through flexible application of customized furniture, localized expression of stylized art, and seamless switching of multifunctional scenes - allowing space to change with demand and making office furniture the core medium connecting people and the environment.
