Walking into Yigong’s new office in Beijing is not only a migration of physical space, but also a brand-new starting point in our design journey. As a design company deeply engaged in the creative field, we hope that this space can not only carry the historical memory of the past, but also face the infinite possibilities of the future. Therefore, the design of the entire office environment, from customized office furniture to soft furnishings, all reflect our concept of “people-oriented and integrating nature”.
Customized office furniture: the balance between function and aesthetics
In the choice of office furniture, we have abandoned standardized products in favor of a large number of tailor-made solutions. From the supervisor’s desk to the staff’s desk, from the conference table to the sofa in the leisure area, every piece of furniture is carefully designed according to the use scenario and ergonomics. The warmth of wood, the coldness of metal, and the transparency of glass are cleverly combined in custom furniture to not only meet the practical needs of daily office, but also highlight the aesthetic taste of the design company. The modular furniture that can be freely combined allows the space to switch to a focused work mode or a team collaboration mode at any time, truly realizing the “form follows function”.
Office environment design and soft decoration: Creating a creative energy field
The overall office environment design takes “flowing energy” as the core. The open layout coexists with private corners. Floor-to-ceiling windows introduce the urban landscape and natural light into the interior, and the scenery outside the window that changes in the four seasons becomes the most vivid background of the space. In the soft decoration design, we used elements such as art paintings, green plants, fabrics, etc. to soften the tough architectural lines, and deliberately retained some of the works of art from the old office. After reinterpretation, it is integrated into the new space to let history and the present dialogue. Each area-whether it is a brainstorming area, a prototyping room, or a casual pantry-stimulates users’ creativity and sense of belonging through different soft-fitting collocation.
Design feng shui: The resonance of Ancient wisdom and modern office
The spatial planning strictly follows the principles of feng shui in design and strives for the harmonious flow of aura. The design of the entrance at the entrance cushions the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and the main passage is open and smooth to avoid energy blocking. The natural textures of wood and stone, the modern textures of metal and glass, together create a microenvironment with a balance of yin and yang. The orientation of the office space, the layout of the meeting room, and even the placement of decorative paintings have all been considered by feng shui to ensure that team members can get positive energy support and improve work concentration and collaboration efficiency.
Design industry office space: an incubator of inspiration and efficiency
As the office space of a design company, it is not only a workplace, but also a creative laboratory that continues to evolve. We cook, eat, have meetings, relax, test prototypes, and conduct workshops here-every function is carefully embedded in the environment. The flexibility of custom furniture allows the space to be quickly reorganized to adapt to activities of different sizes; the delicate touch of soft furnishings allows users to feel warm and caring at all times. It is this ultimate pursuit of detail that makes the new office a cradle for nurturing creativity, large and small, and accompanies the team’s continuous learning, collaboration and growth.
